How We Make Money

Gold Harbor Retirement is an independent educational site about gold IRAs. We are not a gold dealer, we do not sell precious metals, and we do not give personalized investment advice. This page explains how the site is paid for and how that is kept separate from what we publish.

The short version

• We are reader-supported. Some links on this site may earn us a commission if you click them and request information or open an account with a company. You never pay more because you used our link.
• Right now, we have no affiliate relationship with any of the five companies in our Top 5 — Augusta Precious Metals, Birch Gold Group, Noble Gold Investments, Goldco, and American Hartford Gold. The links to their websites are plain links.
• No company pays for a ranking, a review, or a better score. No company sees a review before it is published.
• Every review says where it stands. The top and bottom of each company review state whether we have a paid relationship with that company.

How we may earn money

Like most review sites, we may join affiliate or referral programs run by precious-metals companies. In those programs, a company pays a referral fee when a reader we send to them requests a free kit, books a call, or opens an account. If we join a program, the links to that company will be marked, and the review of that company will say so in its disclosure line.

How we keep money out of the rankings

• Rankings follow our published rating method: fee transparency, minimums, and independently checkable reputation.
• Every figure in a review comes from the company’s own website, its customer agreement, or an independent record such as the BBB or a court docket — never from another review site.
• Each review carries the date its figures were checked. When a company changes its terms, we update the review and the date.
• A paid relationship would never move a company up our list, and the lack of one would never move a company down.

What this site is not

Gold Harbor Retirement is education, not financial, tax, or legal advice. Gold is volatile, a gold IRA has real costs, and it is not right for everyone. Talk to a qualified, fee-only financial advisor or tax professional before you move retirement money.
